ODP2 Update

Plans are going well for the party of the year ;)  I just wanted to write another post as a few people weren't aware of our ODP2 plans and we want everyone to have the opportunity to come if they want to.  The more the merrier :)  We also want to share a few more details about the fabulous weekend we have planned as we're finalising details!  We are SO excited!

If you didn't see the details before - it's the first weekend in November, 1st-3rd and we'd love to see as many of you lovely readers as possible (even you blurkers!)  ;)  You can see how to get involved at the bottom of this post.

Some of you have already booked flights and trains or planned driving routes.  Yay!  Those of you who haven't yet been in touch to confirm or let us know which days/activities you want to attend, please do as soon as you can.  We've provisionally organised an activity for Saturday afternoon (last year we had the roller disco) which will be a chocolate making class (more details below).

Here's a quick rundown of the itinerary/plans for the weekend:

Friday night:
Some people arriving, go out for tapas & sangria.

Saturday Morning:
We're playing this by ear as we don't need to book anything for this.  Depending on the weather we may have a wee trip to Loch Lomond or to one of the cool museums in Glasgow.  Or we can just chill or do your own thing if you prefer.

Saturday Afternoon:
More people arriving at various times
1pm - Lunch/afternoon tea - maybe at Cup
4pm - Chocolate Class (£15 per head)

Saturday Evening:
8pm - Halloween Party - fancy dress essential - any theme!  (Food provided)

Sunday:
Brunch
Everyone goes home  :(

Remember you can opt out of any activities and still join in the rest!

I will need to pay a deposit to book the table for tapas on Friday night so need to confirm numbers before I book this and as there may be quite a few of us, the sooner the better as it's a lovely wee place so we want to make sure we get in!

I've had a meeting with No1 Chocolate Factory and have provisionally booked a chocolate class for the Saturday afternoon.  They can only fit us in (after all the kids) at 4pm so it leaves things a bit tight for getting into our fancy dress finery for the party.  We'd be out by 5.30 at the latest and we've planned the party for 8pm.  For the £15 we get and hour and a half class where we make and decorate a chocolate lolly, make ganache filled chocolates and then split into teams for a blind chocolate tasting test!  We'll also learn a simple way to temper chocolate and other tips.  :)   If enough people are interested and don't mind paying then we will confirm this as our activity.

The plans for the actual Halloween party are going well with some fab DIY decs already underway and yesterday I found a seriously AWESOME decoration in Costco!  As always, you are welcome to all or any of the plans so just indicate which days/activities you plan to attend so we can organise things.  Just contact me at olivedragonflybex@gmail.com to be added to the spreadsheet ;)

I really do wish I could go! I would complain about what I am doing instead but it is attending a beautiful wedding so I think really all is okay! Hope you all have so much fun!
